I am primarily a self taught artist. I have been drawing and sketching for as long as I can remember. For the past twenty five years I have been working exclusively in pastel. It is a medium that I tried and fell in love with. It allows me to draw with pure color.
In 2003 I was elected a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and in 2006 I was invited to join the Guild of Adirondack Artists.
My work has been selected for several national shows, including the Members Show with the Pastel Society of America, The Rennaissance in Pastel Show with the Connecticut Pastel Society and in the Northeast National Pastel Exhibitions at the Arts Center in Old Forge, NY.
I enjoy all genres of painting, but my favorites are portraits and still life. My still life work incorporates old toys, bricks, just about anything with an interesting texture that I can capture in pastel.
